Sometimes people start thinking about changing jobs. The reasons for this decision can be very different. Some say goodbye to the employer of their own free will, others are forced by circumstances.

Internal reasons

Among the personal reasons for dismissal, several of the most common should be noted. Sometimes people change jobs due to a lack of prospects for a given position. Moreover, we are talking here about the financial component and about career growth. If the employee has nowhere to grow and does not have to hope for a wage increase, he may think about dismissal.

It is one thing to have no hope of growth and promotion, and, consequently, salary, and quite another to have a low salary from the outset. The lack of indexation and revision of the incentive system for several years can provoke employee turnover. After all, receiving too low wages for their labor and not being able to afford a lot, a person loses loyalty to the employer and may quit.

The location of the company in which he works can push the employee to write a letter of resignation. If the journey takes more than an hour and a half, or the working day ends when it becomes difficult for a person to get home, the employee may start looking for a job closer.

Although it is not customary to talk about this on a resume, one of the reasons for dismissal can be conflicts in the workplace. This also applies to clashes with bosses, and quarrels with colleagues, and even quarrelsomeness with clients and partners. If a person is not psychologically comfortable working in a given company, in the end, his patience may run out.

External circumstances

A person does not always make a decision to leave work only on his own initiative. Sometimes circumstances force him to do this. For example, if it is necessary to care for a sick family member, he may quit his job. Sometimes the dismissal becomes a consequence of the relocation of the whole family or a specific employee.

Health problems can play a critical role in a career, too. This is especially true when labor includes harmful factors that are undesirable for a particular person. For example, if he is forbidden to sit or stand for a long time due to problems with the musculoskeletal system, work with chemicals due to an allergic reaction, and so on.

Sudden changes in the structure of the company, changes in the location of the company or new management policies can also force a person to write a letter of resignation. Sometimes working conditions become simply unacceptable, and in the end there is nothing left but to look for another job.
