At each enterprise, employees work according to their own work schedule. There is a 5-day work week with two days off, a shift work schedule, a daily schedule, and so on. On all non-working holidays, under any work schedule, it is prohibited to work. The exceptions are the cases provided for by the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, when the work of the enterprise cannot be stopped. Work on holidays is carried out with the written consent of the employee.

Step 1
If an employee works on a shift schedule and weekends according to his schedule are not Saturday and Sunday, then for this employee Saturday and Sunday are working days and they are not paid in a double rate or with the provision of an additional day off.
Step 2
If the employer engages an employee to work on his day off, provided for by his work schedule, then the work is carried out with the employee's written consent. Paid double or additional day off.
Step 3
Non-working holidays are established in Article 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation. They apply to all employees, regardless of their work schedule. If on these days an employee does not have to work according to his schedule, then he should be given a day off. It is possible to involve employees in work on holidays only with their written consent. Holidays are paid at double the rate or double the amount of production. If an employee wants to receive an additional day off instead of double payment, then the payment for holidays is charged in a single amount.
