“Do you love theater? Do you love theater the way I love it? Belinsky addressed the audience with a rhetorical question. Young people who are storming the buildings of theater schools should ask the same question.

Acting education: a dream of stage and fame

In the modern world, a very strange attitude has developed towards the profession of an artist. This, of course, was facilitated by information technology, which brought the art of theater, cinema and variety art to every home.

The stars of show business appeared in all their glory before the television audience. Moreover, in pursuit of "stardom", some representatives do not hesitate to demonstrate their personal life, full of intrigues and scandals. One of the elements of the demonstration is one's own material well-being, which, against the background of the general state of society, goes beyond reasonable.

It seems to young inexperienced minds that this is exactly the way of life they should have, and this is directly related to the professional activities of the star.

There is an imbalance in the current state of show business. People, material well-being directly depends on the public, have become a kind of superstructure that forms the idea of true art. The entire art world seems to be focused on a few television channels, on which the same faces roam.

But if you go back to the origins of modern show business, you can understand what kind of work it cost the current “prima donnas” to achieve today's results. The main star of our time - Alla Pugacheva - at one time, before she began to collect stadiums, performed enough in rural clubs, went on tour to the provinces, giving up to twenty concerts a month. Only work, resistance to stress, perseverance allowed her to become what she has become now.

The same can be said about the stars of TV series, whose fate, in general, is unenviable. Having become a hostage to one role or type, the artist exists only as long as the project exists. Directors avoid taking serial artists into serious films, unless they count on instant material benefits.

When submitting documents to a theater school, applicants often dream that with the receipt of a profession they will become popular actors, gain titles and fame. And, of course, television is seen as the main promotion tool, as the most popular form of art.

Ivan the Terrible was a great lover of theatrical performances, for which he had problems with the Orthodox Church.

But according to the filmmakers themselves, television production has nothing to do with art. True theatrical geniuses were Kachalov, Massalsky, Ranevskaya and others - they were able to realize their talent and achieve the love and appreciation of the audience exclusively on the theater stage. The theatrical stage is also waiting for the current graduates of theatrical universities. Moreover, it can be Vorkuta, Perm and other provincial drama theaters. Also, the possibility is not excluded that they will not find a place for a novice actor.

“One must love art in oneself, not oneself in art” K. S. Stanislavsky

Many graduates of theatrical universities are forced to work with amateur groups, creating theatrical performances on their basis. This is where a real artist who loves theater comes in. It does not matter to him what category of spectators is present in the auditorium. He is a creator and creates art.
