Step 1

The current labor legislation requires to certify the vacation schedule for the next year no later than December 16 of the outgoing year.

With strict adherence to the letter of the law, the wishes of employees regarding the time of rest are usually discussed at the unit level, and then approved by management, making adjustments if necessary, after which a document is drawn up.

Step 2

Two weeks before the expected vacation, the employee should write an application for its provision addressed to the head of the organization. It must contain information about the author (position, surname and initials), the start date of the vacation and its duration.

The document is certified by the immediate superior, then, if necessary, at an intermediate level (for example, by the curator of the direction in the top management of the company) and transferred to the head of the organization for signature.

Step 3

On the basis of the signed application, an order is issued to grant the employee a vacation on the relevant dates.

By the time from which he can rest, the employee must also receive vacation pay: his average earnings for the period in which the vacation is granted.
