The rules for making corrections in the work book are enshrined in the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of 04.16.2003. No. 225, as well as the Decree of the Ministry of Labor of Russia dated 10.10.2003, No. 69.

In order to correct the entry about the date of birth or about the surname, name, patronymic of the employee, you need to cross out the wrong entry with one line and make a new one at the top (that is, above the crossed out one). If the employer, who made a mistake in opening the book, is renamed, a certificate of name change is needed. In the event of the liquidation of the organization, the employee will be able to confirm the ownership of the work book only in court.

Changes to education information are made without strikethrough by inserting data in new lines. The documents on the basis of which you can change the records of education can be: university certificates, grade books, etc. In this case, there is no need to write on the inner side of the cover.

The title page of the work book must contain the date of its completion, the signature of the personnel officer and the well-read seal of the first employer.
