Military personnel can obtain an apartment using government subsidies under the military mortgage program. To do this, you need to collect the installed package of documents.
The meaning of a military mortgage
A military mortgage makes it possible to obtain a mortgage loan for military personnel in the preparation of the necessary package of documents. To do this, a soldier must become a member of the savings and mortgage system (NIS). The opportunity to participate in the NIS begins after a three-year period of military service. The program participants can be officers, warrant officers, graduates of military educational institutions, soldiers, sailors.
The meaning of a military mortgage is that a soldier can purchase housing using a targeted loan, the payments on which will be made not by him, but by the Ministry of Defense. It credits funds to the savings account, which can be directed towards the down payment. If the funds transferred are not enough, then the officer can contribute his own funds. It should be borne in mind that state aid stops when the borrower is fired from the military.
You can buy an apartment in any city, not necessarily in the one in which the soldier is serving. Real estate can be purchased on the secondary or primary market or in the area of complex low-rise buildings. But there are restrictions on the types of housing purchased. Mortgages cannot be issued for housing in Khrushchev, in housing under construction, communal apartments, small families.
The interest rate on military mortgages starts at 9, 5%. The borrower must be between the ages of 25 and 45 at the time of obtaining the mortgage. The minimum loan amount is 300 thousand rubles, the maximum is 2.3 million rubles. Loan term - from three to 45 years.
Many banks work with military mortgage programs. Among them are such as Sberbank, VTB24, Bank of Moscow, Uralsib, Rosselkhozbank, etc.
