The Constitution of the Russian Federation fixes the basic rights, freedoms and obligations of every citizen. At the same time, most of the norms of the Constitution are declarative, since the specification of the corresponding rights and obligations is carried out in other regulatory legal acts.
The Constitution of the Russian Federation enshrines the basic rights and obligations of citizens of the country, is applied directly along with other regulatory legal acts. Thus, the Constitution enshrines the basic rights of citizens to life, freedom, inviolability of the person and home. The state also ensures and protects the right to personal, family secrets of every citizen, the right to secrecy of telephone conversations, correspondence, and other messages. A rule is established according to which the limitation of these rights is not allowed, except for the cases of the adoption of the appropriate court decision in the prescribed manner. Independent and full realization by a citizen of his rights, the fulfillment of duties is possible upon the onset of his majority.
Political, economic and social rights of a citizen
In addition to the basic, personal rights of every citizen, the Constitution of the Russian Federation enshrines political, economic and social rights. So, an example of economic law is the right to private property, the right to free use of property, personal abilities for entrepreneurial, other income-generating activities. The political bloc is expressed in the right to participate in the management of state affairs, active and passive electoral right (to elect its representatives or to be elected to the government itself). The Basic Law includes a large number of social rights, among which should be noted the right to work in safe conditions, the right to rest, to receive social security when certain circumstances occur, to education and medical care.
Responsibilities of a citizen under the Constitution of the Russian Federation
The Constitution of the Russian Federation also establishes certain obligations for each citizen. So, one of the basic ones is the obligation to pay taxes and fees established by law, since it is these funds that are the source for the existence of all state institutions. The obligation to protect nature and the environment is of fundamental importance, since its implementation ensures the health of all citizens and the constant use of natural resources. Finally, the Constitution of the Russian Federation establishes the duty of every citizen to protect the country. This obligation is the basis for conscription, but the specific conditions for the conduct of conscription campaigns are enshrined in a special federal law.
