Instructions
Step 1
Make a phone call to the registry office where you received your birth certificate. State your request and specify the necessary information about the possibility of making changes or corrections to the civil registration record. Find out at what time it will be possible to submit such an application, specify the amount of the state duty.
Step 2
Go to the registry office at the appointed time, take your passport, birth certificate and a copy of it with you. Write a statement addressed to the manager to make corrections or changes to the civil registration record, indicate the reason for the corrections or changes. Attach to the application a copy of the birth certificate, a document according to which you need to make changes (for example, an act of establishing paternity), the original receipt of payment of state duty.
Step 3
Call the registry office at the appointed time regarding the consideration of your application. If the document has been drawn up, contact the registry office with a passport to obtain it. A new birth certificate is issued in accordance with Articles 72, 73 of the Federal Law "On Acts of Civil Status" within one to three months from the day you submit your application.
