To climb the career ladder, you need to have the necessary professional qualities and competently build relationships with colleagues. If you have been working in the same position for a long time and would like to advance, but you feel insecure, increase your own value at work.
Instructions
Step 1
The employee who is passionate about his work builds his career faster. When a person's eyes are burning, enthusiasm and interest are felt, the bosses always notice this. Think about whether you have enough interest in what you are doing. Make a list of your main responsibilities and analyze them: which ones do you like, which ones are not very good, which ones you cope with easily and well, which ones cause difficulties. If most of your points have gone into the area of negative values, then you need to either improve your skills or change your attitude towards work.
Step 2
Think about what qualities you lack for growth. Imagine an employee working in your field, but receiving 1.5-2 times more. How is he different from you? Perhaps it's confidence, experience, productivity, or something else. How can you bring your personal and professional qualities to this level? Perhaps you have not an imaginary, but a real ideal for an example. This may be a famous person who is successful in your field of activity. Learn more about him, how he got to this level, what steps he took.
Step 3
Experience alone may not be enough for advanced training. Try to learn new things in your field all the time. Get additional education, attend business events, read news about the field in which you work. Study professional literature, and not only for your work, but also for pumping personal qualities. If you want to be a leader, read management books.
Step 4
Perhaps you are not very clear about your goals, so you do not have enough motivation to move up the career ladder. Do the following exercise: imagine your professional life in 15 years, what position you hold, what salary you get, what responsibilities you do, how many people you have under your command. Then do the same exercise for your portrait in 5 years. Now it will become clear to you in which direction you should move and what tasks to outline for yourself.
