An explanatory note is a part of the thesis that is necessary for many students of technical universities. It is drawn up in the form of a report and transmitted to the supervisor, and then to the reviewer. As a rule, it is on the explanatory note that a review of the diploma is written. This note is also read by members of the examination committee, therefore, special attention should be paid to its design and content. There are certain standards and formal requirements for writing an Explanatory Note. In particular, they relate to its structure.

Instructions

Step 1

Write a plan according to which your explanatory note will be drawn up. Its points must go in strict sequence. Title page, abstract, table of contents, introduction. What follows is the main text, divided into chapters, with numbered pages. Then - the conclusion and the list of references. If there are attachments to the explanatory note, they must be placed after the list of references and numbered.

Step 2

Sketch a rough draft of an explanatory note based on the goals and objectives that you set for yourself in your thesis. The note also needs to conduct a brief analysis of the work of your predecessors and authors of scientific papers on the topic in which you are engaged. One of the central themes of the note should be the formulation of a research problem, the solution of which you were engaged in in your thesis. The result of this work, preferably with specific figures, if you have any, should be given in the conclusion.

Step 3

The introduction can begin with why you chose this particular topic for your thesis or research, what is its value. Describe all the difficulties that you encountered along the way in this work. Please provide a summary of the chapters in the explanatory note. Please note that in each chapter there should be a conclusion, and on the basis of all the conclusions, a conclusion is written.
