Very important for a new employee who comes to your company is his first working day. The process of presenting it to the team is of great importance, allowing it to immediately acquaint it with those with whom it will work together and contributing to the fastest adaptation. Typically, introducing a new employee to colleagues is entrusted to an employee of the human resources department or his immediate supervisor.
Instructions
Step 1
First, you need to introduce a new employee to the head of the enterprise, company or department head. This will initially set a positive direction for the relationship. If the immediate supervisor was not involved in hiring a new employee, then you should first introduce them to each other. You can acquaint with the management of the company in absentia by showing their photographs and giving surnames, first names and patronymics, so that the employee, having met with them later, already knows the status of these people.
Step 2
It is very important to eliminate possible negative attitudes from colleagues right away. Introduce a new employee, indicating not only his last name, first name and patronymic, the position he will occupy, but also some information from his biography. It is best to list those enterprises and positions in which the newcomer worked before, and which will serve as confirmation of his professionalism and high qualifications. This will instill respect in future colleagues and set them up to have a positive attitude towards the newcomer.
Step 3
It is best to choose a time for the performance when the whole team is assembled. This can be done, for example, at a five-minute meeting or at a specially convened meeting. During the presentation after the personal data, tell us about the functions that the new employee will perform, describe to him the functions that his colleagues perform. What are the names and patronymics of those of them who hold key positions, and to whom he will need to turn for help.
Step 4
Give the floor to the newcomer, have him say a few words about himself and answer the questions of colleagues that may arise. Introduce him to subcontractors, describe the structure of appeals, take a tour of related departments, introduce your new employee there as well.
Step 5
Show the newcomer his workplace, especially pay attention to those moments when the equipment will be shared with several colleagues, because sometimes several people can work on one computer, use one phone. Familiarize him with the places of rest, the procedure for using the kitchen. Tell who he can turn to for office supplies.
Step 6
Don't forget to wish your new employee every success. Express confidence that he will quickly join the team and will work with joy and the feeling that he is in his place.
