Step 1
You can get a police clearance certificate at the local internal affairs body at your place of residence or at the Information Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Fill out the application, indicate the last name, first name, patronymic, date and place of birth, citizenship and place of residence. In addition, if you changed your last name or first name, this should also be noted. You must provide such a statement in person, presenting your passport.
Step 2
If you do not have the opportunity to independently obtain such a certificate, use the services of an intermediary organization by issuing a notarized power of attorney for a representative of this company. Another person will do all the work for you. You just have to come at the appointed time and pick up the certificate, not forgetting to pay the agreed amount for the services. Usually, intermediary organizations offer to issue a certificate in 2-4 weeks.
Step 3
Often, obtaining a certificate of no criminal record is required when applying for work visas or obtaining a residence permit or permanent residence. In this case, you must provide certificates from all countries in which you have lived for more than 6 months, starting from the age of 18, and in some cases from the age of 16. If, for example, you studied at a university in one country, then worked in another, you will need certificates from two countries. Where to go? After all, not to make an expensive trip to all the republics and countries where you once had a chance to live. Go to the embassy or consulate of the required country, write there a statement of the established form, attach a copy of your passport to it. In the application, do not forget to indicate when and where exactly you lived in this country. If you have preserved copies of documents confirming this information, attach them to the application.
Step 4
Your application will be registered and considered within one month if you receive a certificate in Russia. It may take much longer to get a certificate from another country. In this case, use the help of your acquaintances, friends, relatives by issuing a power of attorney for them. Or contact the services of an organization that provides such services. Then you will not have to worry and be nervous about the deadlines.
