All those who come to Russia for work or for a long-term stay in the country for another purpose are required to register for migration and obtain a certificate of temporary registration. There is nothing complicated in this procedure if you understand the sequence of necessary actions.
Instructions
Step 1
Upon entering the territory of Russia (at customs), receive and fill out a migration card indicating the purpose of your stay in the country. In the same place, apply for medical insurance for foreign citizens - a VHI policy.
Step 2
Register for migration. For this, foreign citizens are given 7 working days (for visitors from Tajikistan - 15 days).
Step 3
You can issue notification registration at the place of actual residence or future workplace. Moreover, the place of residence can be a hotel room or rented housing.
Step 4
If you come to Russia to work, the registration actions will be taken by the receiving party - the legal entity for which you plan to work.
Step 5
When registering, you need to have the following documents with you: foreign passport, migration card and their copies. If you are registering for a dwelling, you will need a copy of the home owner's passport and title deeds to the dwelling.
Step 6
If you are submitting documents to the OUFMS yourself, fill out the arrival notification. No state fees are charged for migration registration. You will receive notification registration on the day you contact the OUFMS.
Step 7
Do not forget that there are significant fines for violation of the rules for registering migrants - both for organizations and for individuals.
