Upon arrival in the Russian Federation, all citizens of other states, even those who travel through Russia in transit, must fill out a migration card, regardless of the purpose for which they enter the country and whether they received a visa at the Russian embassy upon departure. This card is an important migration document, but if you know how to fill it out correctly, you will not have any problems crossing the border.

Instructions
Step 1
Get your migration card blank. If you fly by plane about an hour before landing, a flight attendant will distribute them, the same if you arrive by ship. If you are crossing the border by train, ask your conductor to find out where this form can be obtained. When crossing the border by car, contact the border control officers.
If you are traveling with children without Russian citizenship, do not forget to take a separate form for them. Parents must fill out the document for children.
Step 2
The form consists of two parts - A and B - for entry and exit, respectively. Please complete both of them before going through border control.
Step 3
Instructions for completing are provided on the back of each part of the form. Follow them. Start by filling out general information about yourself. Indicate your last name, first name and patronymic, date of birth, gender, series and number of the identity document, citizenship. You can fill in the document with both black and blue pens.
Step 4
Then proceed to the section regarding your entry into the Russian Federation. Write down on the form the purpose of your trip, such as study, work or tourism, the date of entry into Russia and the expected length of stay. If you are traveling with a visa, these deadlines must be within the period for which you were issued a visa. If you are traveling by invitation, specify who it is - the employer, friends. Relatives. For individuals, mark the last name, first name and patronymic, for organizations - the full name and address.
Step 5
Leave the section "For service marks" blank. It is reserved for border control officers who must affix a confirmation stamp to the migration card.
