Instructions

Step 1

An evacuation plan is developed for buildings and structures (except for residential buildings) in all cases when there are more than 10 people on the floor. They should be posted in conspicuous places and painted with special glow-in-the-dark paints. They are drawn up in accordance with the approved regulatory documentation and have a standard system of conventional symbols.

Step 2

The evacuation plan consists of graphic and text parts. The graphic part is based on the floor plan. If the floor area is large enough (more than 1000 square meters), then sectional plans are drawn up for each separate section of the floor.

Step 3

On the floor plan, indicate possible escape routes from each room. They should be indicated by green arrows leading to the main, escape and emergency exits. On the graphics, mark the locations of life-saving appliances and fire-extinguishing equipment, smoke-free staircases, outdoor fire escapes using approved symbols.

Step 4

On the evacuation plan, mark the location of the plan itself, so that in case of danger, the person reading it can navigate along it with the evacuation routes.

Step 5

Apply conventional signs and symbols on the evacuation plan in accordance with the requirements for their registration and design established by GOST R 12.4.026, IMO resolution A.654 (16), A.760 (18) and other regulatory documents. Signs and designations can be supplemented with text explanatory inscriptions.

Step 6

Execute the textual part of the evacuation plan in the form of a table. In it, reflect information on how to alert about danger, the order and sequence of evacuating people, opening all emergency and evacuation exits, checking whether everyone on the floor has left the premises, checking the operation and start-up of installations and fire automation systems and fire extinguishing. Sign the text part with the head of the organization.

Step 7

Sign the diagram by the persons who drew up the evacuation plan, at the bottom there should be the signatures of the employees who got acquainted with it. The evacuation plan must be approved by the head of the organization and agreed with the fire supervision inspectorate in charge of this building, structure.
