An evacuation plan is essential in any institution, regardless of its profile. It indicates the path of leaving the building in case of fire from any room in it. The plan also contains the telephone numbers of emergency services.

Instructions

Step 1

The method of drawing a fire escape plan depends on how many copies it needs to be made. If the institution is small and it is required in a single copy, use felt-tip pens (black and red). Use a computer and a printer to make multiple copies of a document. The latter must necessarily be colored, since some of the elements of the document must necessarily be red.

Step 2

If you need one copy of the plan, made in a large format (for the corridor) and many small ones (for offices), draw up the first by hand, and the second using computer technology.

Step 3

Regardless of the manufacturing method, use only heavyweight paper for the fire escape plan.

Step 4

If the institution has several floors, draw up evacuation plans for each floor separately.

Step 5

Start drawing up the document by transferring the floor plan to it. Find out in which department of the institution it is stored, and then ask to make a copy for you.

Step 6

Ask your fire safety officer exactly what escape routes should look like. Only he knows which of the exits can be used in case of a fire, and which cannot. Self-activity in determining the evacuation routes is unacceptable.

Step 7

Draw escape routes on the plan with red lines. Arrows indicating in which direction to move are required. They should also be red.

Step 8

Draw on the plan and highlight with color the location of: - fire hydrants;

- washbasins;

- fire extinguishers;

- any fire-fighting equipment;

- electrical panels;

- stationary telephones.

Step 9

At the bottom of the evacuation plan, indicate which numbers you need to call in the event of a fire from fixed telephones, and which - from various mobile operators. Leave spaces below for the signatures of the head and the person in charge of fire safety.

Step 10

Having received the signatures of both persons on all copies of the document, without exception, subject the sheets to lamination or, when placing on the walls, cover them with sheets of plexiglass.
