- - Dictaphone;
- - camera.
Instructions
Step 1
Make a list of questions in advance that you will ask the people being interviewed. You must remember them by heart so as not to look into the cheat sheet every minute.
Step 2
If you are planning a large-scale venture, prepare a detailed list with the names of those you intend to interview. It would be nice to have at least some part of the information about them: what kind of people they are, what they do, what remarkable things they have brought into this or that sphere of the development of society.
Step 3
Be active and persistent, be always on the lookout. If you do not know when and where the object of interest will appear, take the most advantageous place as early as possible, vigilantly observe the arriving colleagues.
Step 4
As soon as your target appears in the availability zone, boldly "advance" with a victory cry - call the person you are interested in by name. Do not forget that you are in fierce competition with many journalists.
Step 5
Don't be afraid to show the miracles of improvisation. If, for example, a person does not behave the way you expected, try to reduce it to a joke, humor is a great way to smooth over any rough edges.
Step 6
When conducting any survey, do not forget about ethical standards, you should not impose on a person those questions that he does not want to answer. Know how to tactfully turn the conversation into another direction.
Step 7
Try to be friendly with your fellow journalists. After all, the situation can be very changeable and, perhaps, any news regarding your work will come to you from them.
Step 8
Reporting usually involves addressing viewers or radio listeners. Be prepared to deliver your prepared speech clearly and distinctly without undue fussiness.
Step 9
Do not forget about additional accompanying technical means of providing lighting for the event (for example, a voice recorder or a camera).
Step 10
Restrain your emotions while reporting, especially negative ones, remember that a light smile and a calm, benevolent expression are the best calling card of a good reporter.
