Step 1

First, it should be clarified that the amount of wages, according to labor legislation, should not be less than the minimum wage, which is indexed annually, that is, it changes.

Step 2

By reducing wages, you change one of the obligatory terms of the contract. As a rule, this change cannot be carried out unilaterally. Therefore, two months before the introduction of the new wage rate, notify the employee. This must be done in writing. In the notice, indicate the reasons for this decision (please note that they must be justified). The employee, having agreed with this information, must sign.

If you reduce the salary of several employees at once, it is advisable not to draw up a notice for each, but to do it in one document, after reading which, everyone will put a signature and date in front of their surname.

After that, draw up an order to amend the staffing table. In this executive document, indicate the positions for which you need to make changes, also write the date of these amendments and the salary itself.

Step 5

Then, before the new conditions come into effect, draw up an additional agreement to the employment contract, also indicate the new wage and the date the new edition comes into force. Draw up an additional agreement in duplicate, one of which will remain with you, and the second with the employee.

Step 6

After that, issue an order to reduce wages. It also list the positions, the employees themselves, indicate the amount of salary, write the basis (order to amend the staffing table, additional agreement). This order must also be signed by the employee himself, which will mean his agreement with the above information.
