Instructions
Step 1
Do not try to buy property in Bulgaria, it will not give you any benefits and privileges. And even more so, it does not guarantee obtaining a residence permit. Also remember that unlike in many European countries, where it is enough to open your own company in order to get you a residence permit, this will not work in Bulgaria. The only loophole in the legislation that will help you move to this country is to open a branch of your company, which is in your home country, in Bulgaria.
Step 2
In addition, a residence permit in Bulgaria can be obtained by students studying in the territory of the state, relatives and spouses of Bulgarian citizens, persons undergoing long-term treatment and those people who work for Bulgarian employers. In order to obtain a residence permit, you need to submit a certain package of documents to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Bulgaria. In addition, you should already have clear agreements with the owner of the apartment or house where you are going to live. They are drawn up by signing a rental agreement. You also need to prepare in advance those documents that you can obtain only in your country. An example of such documents is a personal account statement.
Step 3
Submit the documents in person, without the participation of intermediaries. After the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Bulgaria approves your request and issues you with a residence permit, you will have to spend in Bulgaria a total of at least 6 months and one day a year. This is an internal requirement in the country. For those who do not fulfill it, the residence permit is canceled. The residence permit is issued for a period of one year. And each time it will need to be renewed. And after 5 years, subject to the laws of the state, you can apply for permanent residence.
