The profession of a teacher, as they say, is “both dangerous and difficult,” but in financial terms it is not particularly expressed. Since the 2008 academic year, it was decided to calculate the teacher's salary in a different way - instead of the usual tariff system, another one was introduced - an industry one.

Instructions

Step 1

You can calculate the teacher's salary as follows. To the base salary, which varies from 2,600 to 3,000 rubles, we add certain coefficients, which are, inter alia, from surcharges for a qualification category, an academic degree and an honorary title.

Step 2

The wages of the highest management level, to which the school's management belongs, is calculated based on a higher coefficient. For example, directors, chief accountants, heads of various structural divisions receive mandatory bonuses. Each category of teachers and managers has its own coefficient, which increases depending on the position held. Naturally, the salaries of teachers in lyceums and gymnasiums differ from those in ordinary schools.

Step 3

Also, the factors that directly affect the salary of a teacher include the following: level of education (higher vocational or secondary specialized), qualification category, rank and length of service, as well as additional payment for a candidate's degree. With all these changes, the teacher's working time rate has remained unchanged. For a primary school teacher, it is 20 hours, and for a teacher working in the middle and senior levels, the rate is 18 hours. The amount of time worked does not affect wages.

Step 4

According to officials, the adopted law only improved the position of teachers. After all, the sectoral system of payment increases the salaries of management by about 30-40%, teachers with higher professional education by 20%, and teachers with secondary vocational education by about 10%. The sectoral wage system allows teachers to earn more if they improve their qualifications or receive higher education.
