A recommendation letter for a nanny should contain 2 parts: formal and informal. The first of them indicates: the surname, name and patronymic of the specialist; how old the nanny is or the year of her birth; passport details and place of residence of the nanny; term of work in the family; with a child of what gender and age she was engaged; what was her immediate responsibility.

In the informal part of the letter of recommendation for the nanny, general impressions of her personality traits, the characteristics of her relationship with the child and family members, and her attitude to work are described. In a letter of recommendation for a nanny, the reason for her leaving the family must be indicated, for example: the child has grown; the need to change the nanny to the governess; moving to another area of the city, because of which the nanny turned out to be too far to go to the child; personal reasons for the nanny; financial or personal reasons in the family where she worked, etc.

It is very good if in the final part of the letter it is written whether this nanny is recommended for a job in another family and why. Here it would be appropriate to emphasize the professional or personal qualities that the employer considers the most valuable.

A letter of recommendation for a nanny must necessarily end with the employer's contact information: last name, first name and patronymic, telephone for communication (this can be a home or mobile phone number). Such data is needed so that representatives of the recruiting agency or new employers can call and clarify any information about the nanny. If this is not done, the recommendation will not be taken seriously.

It is best if the letter of recommendation fits on one sheet. To do this, it is advisable to write concisely and specifically, for example: “the children liked the food prepared by the nanny,” etc. A good recommendation will allow a nanny to find a high-paying job in the future, because this is her main trump card when applying to a recruiting agency.
