Step 1
Determine the goals of your presentation. To do this, analyze why you need it, what effect you want to achieve, what the audience should do after the presentation is finished. The objectives determine the structure of the report, the choice of visual aids, and the way in which information is presented in general.
Step 2
Find out as much information as possible about the audience you will be speaking to. The order of drawing up a performance plan directly depends on this. The larger the audience, the brighter and clearer the presentation should be, and, conversely, the smaller the audience, the more specific and in-depth the problem under consideration should be.
Step 3
Start building your plan with an introduction. Indicate in it the prerequisites for the occurrence of the problem under consideration and indicate the problem itself. Please note that the information on the slides should not completely duplicate your report. It is needed in order to complement and confirm your words.
Step 4
Start the main part after the introduction is ready. In this block, the problem should be considered in more detail. Conduct an analysis of the current situation, give any examples, indicate key points with theses.
Step 5
Pay close attention to the conclusion. It is this that largely determines the success of your performance. In this block, your conclusions and suggestions for solving the problem under discussion should be very clearly displayed.
Step 6
Choose the main means of presenting information based on the topic of the presentation and the predisposition of the audience. Determine what best reflects the essence of the matter. These can be pictures, tables, graphs, diagrams, etc.
Step 7
Mark for yourself on a separate sheet which slide corresponds to each section. This will help you navigate quickly and not get confused while performing. The final item in your plan should be the answers to possible questions.
