It is necessary

  • - the calendar;
  • - the schedule of public holidays for the current year.

Instructions

Step 1

Such a military trick is possible if the vacation falls on public holidays. According to the law, these days are not included in its duration, and in practice this allows the employee to postpone the date when he must start his duties by the number of holidays that fell on his vacation. True, vacation pay will not be charged more than usual: this payment is not due for holidays.

Step 2

For example, vacation for 14 calendar days, according to the relevant order, is provided from May 1. For the period from May 1 to May 14, inclusive, there are two public holidays: May 1 and 9.

Thus, since these two days cannot be included in the vacation, its 14-day period will not expire on May 14, but on May 16. This means that you should go to work on May 17, if this date does not fall on a weekend.

Step 3

Another tactical move that allows you to increase the actual duration of the vacation is to take it strictly from Monday (or the first working day after the holidays). If the company works according to the standard schedule, that is, the last working day is Friday, after completing work on the named day, you can forget about it with a clear conscience until the day you need to return to it.

In any case, this gives the right to walk for actually 16 days: Saturday and Sunday are days off, and vacation starts on Monday.

Step 4

For example, in 2011, the considered May 1 fell on Sunday. Therefore, May 2 became the official day off. Therefore, an employee who has taken leave from May 3 must return to duty on May 19. And in fact, he would start to rest, like the one who took a vacation from May 1, April 30.

So the one whose vacation began on May 1, 2011, actually legally rested for 16 days, and from May 3, 2011 - 18 days.
