The employment of foreign citizens as a citizen of the Russian Federation in accordance with the current legislation is permitted in the presence of an appropriate patent. It is issued upon arrival of a foreigner in Russia after receiving temporary registration. The patent term is limited and must be renewed in a timely manner.

Step 1
Renew the patent for the work at the end of its validity period, if your plans are to continue working on the territory of the Russian Federation. It is known that the period of validity of a patent for the conduct of an employment activity can be extended for a period of one to three months many times. The total period of validity of the aforementioned document, including its periodic extension, may not exceed twelve months.
Step 2
Pay tax - a fixed amount in the form of an advance on personal income. Then the patent will be automatically renewed. The amount of the advance payment is calculated based on the period for which the patent is to be renewed. For foreign citizens, a fixed tax is established equal to one thousand rubles.
Step 3
Pay taxes on time. In this case, you do not need to contact the migration service. The payment of the above tax can be made in absolutely any bank of the Russian Federation.
Step 4
Keep all receipts for taxes paid, otherwise the patent for the work may be terminated. Receipts are an excellent way to confirm that a foreign citizen is absolutely legally employed by a citizen of the Russian Federation.
Step 5
Apply for a work permit in addition to the patent if you are employed by a sole proprietor. If you are an employee of a legal entity, a patent for the work is sufficient to legally perform your duties.
Step 6
Apply to the territorial bodies of the Federal Migration Service of Russia for the extension of the patent for work, if this document has been terminated. The reason for this may be the unpaid tax on time, and the expiration of a year from the date of issue of the above document.
Step 7
Apply for a new patent when the old one reaches twelve months from the date of its registration. The issuance of a new document that allows you to work without breaking the law is made upon registration.
