If you decide to register a public foundation, you must understand that it is a public association and one of the types of non-profit organizations. Thus, its activities will be regulated by the Federal Law "On Non-Commercial Organizations" and the Federal Law "On Public Associations".

Step 1
First of all, it is necessary to determine the type of fund and its territorial affiliation. So the fund can be regional, interregional and all-Russian. In the latter case, the fund's branches should be located in more than half of the subjects of the Russian Federation. Also, at the initial stage, you need to think over the name of the fund, find the founders (there must be at least 3 of them) and the legal address, without which the fund simply cannot be registered.

The next stage is the preparation of documents for registering a public fund:

Statement
Letter of guarantee for the provision of a legal address
Seal approval statement, with attached layout
Objectives and activities
All documents must be prepared in duplicate. One copy is given to the registering authority, the second remains with you.
To register a fund, it is also mandatory to pay a state fee. Today it is 4000 rubles.
Step 3
After the documents have been submitted, the registering authority will consider them and, if a positive decision is made to register the fund, it will issue you a certificate of state registration of a public association, as well as a certificate of assignment of the OGRN and an extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.
Step 4
The final stage of registration will be the opening of a bank account and registration of the fund with the tax office. Everything! You can start working!
