  • - certificate of family composition;
  • - income statement;

Instructions

Step 1

If you gave birth to a child without a husband, are not in a registered marriage, the father of the child has not been established through the court and an official application for recognition of paternity has not been received from him, you have the right to apply for the status of a single mother and receive state benefits paid by the social protection authorities. A single mother is considered not only a woman who has given birth to a child, but also adopted a baby outside of an official marriage.

Step 2

When registering the fact of the birth of a child in the registry office at the place of residence, receive a certificate of the unified form No. 25.

Step 3

Submit the received certificate, the child's birth certificate, your passport of the citizen of the Russian Federation to the social protection authorities. Write an application for single mother status.

Step 4

You will also need to get a certificate of income of the 2-NDFL form, a certificate from the place of residence about the composition of the family, an extract from the house book and personal account. You can get a certificate of income by contacting the employer from whom you went on maternity leave. If you did not work before giving birth, you will receive a certificate of the amount of the scholarship. Unemployed women must present a certificate from the employment service or work book.

Step 5

Take photocopies of all documents and attach to the originals of the submitted documents.

Step 6

Your documents will be reviewed by the commission. Terms for consideration do not exceed 30 calendar days.

Step 7

After a specified period of time, you will receive a single mother certificate, which guarantees a number of government benefits. In particular, single mothers are paid a double monthly allowance until the child reaches the age of 16 (Federal Law No. 81-F3 of May 19, 1995).

Step 8

Most often, women who gave birth to a child out of wedlock do not issue a certificate of a single mother, since all benefits are assigned by the department of social protection of the population, and for this department it is quite enough to present a package of these documents and a certificate from the registry office.
