Every third girl between the ages of 10 and 16 walks the catwalk in beautiful dresses in her dreams. Each of them wants to plunge into the world of famous people who have the opportunity to try on clothes created by designers from all over the world.
How to choose a school
Today in Russia there are more than 2,500 modeling agencies, 125,000 models work in them. There are 75 such agencies in Moscow, and many of them have their own model schools. The most famous of them is the Vyacheslav Zaitsev School of Models.
The curriculum of the model school contains photographic training sessions, i.e. the ability to pose, the basics of acting, the basics of choreography, costume history, practice with makeup artists, hairdressers and stylists. Classes are supplemented by courses on proper nutrition and psychological training. Classes are held for two to four months, three to four hours a week. At the end of their studies, after passing the exams, they receive the "Vyacheslav Zaitsev Moscow Theater Model Diploma", which is valid even abroad.
But keep in mind that this kind of study is expensive. During the training, your portfolio will be formed. Moreover, you take pictures in your clothes, but you pay for the services of a stylist, photographer, hairdresser and make-up artist, you will also have to pay the cost of film and rent of a photo studio. The result is: payment for the training itself - $ 200-500, portfolio - $ 200, cosmetics - $ 100, gym, sauna and swimming pool - $ 150 each month, proper nutrition - $ 400 monthly.
All this does not at all guarantee you success in your chosen profession. But if, in spite of everything, you decided to devote your life to fashion, then be prepared for difficult work on yourself and going through a difficult path full of disappointments, tears and fierce competition.
Requirements for candidates
The Vyacheslav Zaitsev School of Models admits girls from 12 to 26 years old, with a height of at least 170 cm. The enrollment takes place every week. Girls should come in a tight-fitting blouse and a short skirt, always on stiletto heels. The color of the eyes and hair does not matter, the most important thing is to please Zaitsev, because it is he who conducts the casting. Moreover, the candidates may not have a figure of 90-60-90, it is much more important to be distinguished by good body proportions. They consist in the fact that the volumes of the chest and hips should be the same, the maximum allowable deviation is 2 cm in any direction. The waist is considered acceptable if it is equal to the number obtained by subtracting 105 cm from your height. In addition to the figure, attention is paid to the manner of presenting yourself. Movements should be smooth, gait - flying, posture - relaxed. But the most important thing is posture.
Every two months, Vyacheslav Zaitsev recruits 150 students, completing 3-4 groups of them by height. Candidates with a height of 178 to 185 cm are taken to the group of the tallest girls, to the other - from 170 to 174 cm, etc. The groups also accept girls who want to get the necessary knowledge just for themselves.
