A nationwide or business-wide crisis can be equally hard on a career. However, under no circumstances should you panic, because it is quite possible to survive difficult times in your favorite and prestigious job.
Instructions
Step 1
Do your job accurately, avoiding negligence or neglect of functionality. Demonstrate loyalty to the company and a willingness to perform well in a crisis. However, do not allow yourself to be manipulated. Heavy additional workload, overtime work, lower wages - all this is by no means always a consequence of the crisis and can be used by management to escalate the situation.
Step 2
If you see real ways out of a difficult situation, be sure to offer them to your management. Reducing costs, original advertising moves that can increase sales, opportunities to win new customers - such steps can help the company regain stability. Put your ideas in writing and discuss with your line manager.
Step 3
In parallel with your main job, improve your professional level and master new areas. The layoff can happen quite unexpectedly, but at the same time you can remain in demand as a specialist for other employers. In addition, additional skills make you a more valuable contributor to your current leadership.
Step 4
Try not to spend your entire salary in a month. Be sure to set aside 10-15% of your income. For this purpose, you can open a bank account. Do not try to invest this amount more profitably: your task is to maintain your financial reserve without any special risks.
