Instructions

Step 1

Please note: even if the accountant (or chief accountant) is found guilty of the financial problems that have arisen in your company, the head will have to answer to the fullest extent of the law.

Step 2

If you are just organizing the work of an enterprise and recruiting staff, hire accounting employees not by “acquaintance”, but by personal and professional qualities, many of which can be determined during the interview. Conduct an interview with an invited specialist from an audit firm, since nowadays, an accountant's diploma is sometimes not worth trusting.

Step 3

Set a probationary period for the accountant (for the chief accountant, this period can be extended up to 6 months). Contact the audit firm before the first submission of reports by a new employee so that they conduct an express check of the documentation.

Step 4

Provide accounting staff with suitable working conditions, which include:

- providing employees with modern PCs and office equipment;

- equipping the PC with the latest versions of the "1C: Accounting" program;

- the possibility of direct communication with the programmer and the system administrator to adapt "1C: Accounting" to the needs of your organization;

- provision of a dedicated Internet line to optimize the process of working with the Bank-Client program;

- providing direct access to the latest legislative and legal acts;

- subscription to periodicals in the specialty.

Step 5

Each accountant should be fully responsible for his part of the work, and the chief accountant should coordinate and direct it, selectively checking the work of employees from time to time.

Step 6

Make sure that the balance is compiled monthly, not quarterly. This will help to quickly track the movement of funds. Pay special attention to how the primary documentation is drawn up.
