Replacement of personal data by a court
Not all personal data can be freely replaced with others. In the columns "date of birth" and "place of birth" are entered factual information from the birth certificate. It is possible to replace them only in court only if an error is made when registering a birth or when a birth document is issued upon discharge from a maternity hospital.
Also, according to a court decision, corrections or changes are made to the records of acts of civil status, and then to the passport, if there are errors in the last name, first name and patronymic, when they cannot be eliminated by the registry office.
Replacement of personal data in the registry office
Based on your application and the paid state duty in the amount approved by law, the registry office will register the change of surname, name and patronymic. In the application, along with other data, you indicate the last name, first name and patronymic with which you want to replace the original data, as well as the reason for the change. After carrying out all the established measures, including a request for the necessary in the case of changing the copies of the records of the acts from the place of registration, the registry office staff draw up a record of the act on the change of name and issue a certificate. With it, you apply to the migration service to replace your passport.
Replacement of information about marital status in the passport is made after the conclusion or dissolution of marriage, which are also registered by the registry office. Registration of marriage is carried out on the basis of a joint application by mutual agreement after a month after its submission, unless the Family Code of the Russian Federation provides otherwise. After registration, the employees of the department put down a stamp on the marriage and, accordingly, the data on the marital status is replaced. Divorce itself can be carried out both by the court and by the registry office. The divorce stamp is affixed by the civil registry office after drawing up the corresponding deed entry.
Replacing residence data
In the event that you have changed your place of residence, you need to contact the migration service at your old place of residence, deregister and re-register with the migration service at your new place of residence. In this case, among other documents, you need to take with you documents that confirm the ownership of the dwelling. If the premises do not belong to you, you will need the owner's consent for registration, after which the department employees will put a registration stamp in the passport.
