Step 1

The head of the structural unit should write a memo addressed to the director of the company. The content must indicate the date of introduction of the reduced working hours and the reason why it should be done. These reasons are changes in technological, organizational conditions. A reduction in the working day (week) can be established in order to preserve jobs. On the memorandum, the director of the organization, after consideration, must affix a resolution.

Step 2

Draw up an order, in the head of the document write the name of the enterprise, the name of the document in capital letters. Give the order a number and date, indicate the name of the city where the organization is located. Write the topic of the document, in this case it corresponds to the introduction of reduced working hours. Write down the reason for the order. In the administrative part of the document, indicate the last name, first name, patronymic of the employee who should shorten the working week (time), the name of his position, structural unit. Payment in this mode of operation is usually made in accordance with the actual hours worked. Assign the responsibility of familiarizing with the employee's order to a cadre worker. Certify the document with the seal of the company, the signature of the head of the company. Familiarize the specialist, who is introduced to the reduction of working hours, with the order against signature. It should be borne in mind that the employer has the right to introduce a shortened working week for a period of not more than six months.

Prepare a notice for a specific employee in duplicate. Indicate the date from which the shortened working day is introduced, the reason why it should be done. Deliver the document to the employee at least two months before the actual date of entry into force of the relevant order. On the notification, the specialist must put a personal signature, the date of acquaintance.

Step 4

If the employee does not agree with the introduction of reduced working hours, the employer is obliged to offer him another job in accordance with his qualifications for the available vacancies. When the employer has no vacancies, he has the right to dismiss the employee under Article 81 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, to pay him the due severance pay and cash on account.
