The sale and purchase of foreign currency as an independent type of activity in Russia is considered not entirely legal, and if practiced, then, as a rule, “out of the box”. However, there is also a completely "white" way to make money on currency exchange by cooperating with one or another bank. Credit organizations, which are banks, are legally entitled to buy and sell foreign currency.

The difference in exchange rates is often a great chance to make money

It is necessary

  • 1. An agreement with one of the banks, which makes it possible to conduct activities under its license
  • 2. Initial working capital
  • 3. A room or a cabin equipped with an armored door and glass
  • 4. Cash register equipment
  • 5. Personal computer
  • 6. One or two shift cashiers

Instructions

Step 1

Sign an agreement with the bank - this is the first thing to do when you want to open your own currency exchange office. After that, you will work under the license of this "credit institution" and, as it were, on behalf of it. In return, the bank will monthly receive funds from you for "cash service" (recalculation and packing of cash, collection, reporting and tax payments), and in some cases, commissions (depending on the details of the agreement).

Step 2

"Feel" in your settlement for successful and unsuccessful places for the location of the cash exchange office. To do this, collect statistics on the selling rate - the higher it is, the more likely the “exchanger” is in demand at a given point in the city, and you can organize your point somewhere nearby. In the central regions, near large hotels, business centers, the demand for currency exchange is especially high, while dollars and euros are being actively bought in the peripheral points of the city.

Step 3

Rent (acting already on behalf of the bank) a room or install a specialized armored cabin in the place where you decided to locate a currency exchange office. Mandatory requirements for the equipment of the point - an armored door and glass, as well as an alarm system ("panic button"). You will also need cash equipment (counter and banknote detector), as well as a personal computer for keeping statistics.

Step 4

Solve personnel issues - hire one or two shift cashiers if you are not going to work at the point on your own. You should only deal with trusted people - a cash exchange opens up many opportunities for a cashier to cheat in your favor. According to the law, the cashiers and the manager himself (the owner of the "exchanger") must be employees of the bank, under the auspices of which the currency exchange point operates; the authorities of the Central Bank vigilantly monitor compliance with this rule.
