You get sick, you call a doctor, you get a sick leave. Maybe you are right. But very often employers do not pay sick leaves to employees due to incorrect registration. So when is a sick leave issued and how to get it right?

Step 1
A sick leave is issued to an employee to provide it at the place of work and is a supporting document for the employee's absence from the workplace due to illness. Also, sick leave is issued to working parents caring for a sick child. Moreover, in recent years, parents have the right to decide for themselves who to take sick leave, father or mother of the child.
Step 2
The procedure for issuing sick leave and the terms for which it can be issued are regulated by the “Procedure for issuing sick leave certificates by medical organizations, approved. Order of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation dated 01.08.2007 No. 514.
You should not be afraid of this order, you just need to behave correctly and carefully during your illness or your child's illness.
Step 3
If your health worsens, call your local doctor if you cannot get to the clinic. If your child is sick, call your local pediatrician.
Step 4
When visiting a doctor, tell us about your well-being (the child's well-being), listen to recommendations for treatment and prescription.
Step 5
The local doctor writes out a sick leave at home or when visiting a clinic. If a doctor prescribes a sick leave at your home, do not bother him to correctly issue a sick leave. The doctor has the right to prescribe a sick leave for up to 10 days.
Step 6
Follow the recommendations and prescriptions of your doctor.
At the specified time, go to the doctor's appointment at the clinic. During a second examination, the doctor decides whether to extend the sick leave or to close it. After closing the sick leave, check the correctness of its execution in order to avoid troubles at work. Do not forget to stamp your sick leave.
Step 7
If you cannot come to the clinic for an appointment because you feel unwell, call the doctor at home again. In this case, the doctor has the right to extend the sick leave up to 30 days.
And remember, a violation of the treatment regimen may be the reason for the doctor's refusal to issue you a sick leave.
