Formation of a document often requires a change in the orientation of the sheet. Microsoft Word allows you to easily change the direction of the document at any stage of its creation. Let's figure out how to do this.
By default, Microsoft Word prompts the user to use the portrait orientation of the sheet. To change the direction of the document, in the "Page Layout" section, click on the "Orientation" button, and then in the dialog box that opens, select the landscape format. In this case, all sheets of the document will change direction.
To make only one page of the document landscape, it is necessary to place the cursor strictly at the beginning of the first line of the sheet, which must be turned over. Then, in the "Page Layout" section, select the "Page Break" subgroup and activate the "Next Page" function. Now, when you change the orientation of the detached sheet, the previous pages will remain intact. At the same time, all subsequent ones will change direction.
Thus, in order to change the orientation of only one sheet within a multi-page document, you have to repeat the procedure for changing direction twice - the first time to change the sheet, and the second to set the portrait orientation for subsequent pages.
Changing the orientation of the first page of a document using a page break is not possible because the function creates a new sheet with an orientation that matches the entire document. Thus, to change the title page, you must first change the orientation of the entire document.
