Job search and selection of candidates for available vacancies are carried out in several stages. At the first stage, the employer gets acquainted with your resume, but the final decision is made only based on the results of the interview. It is on it that you can understand what personal qualities the applicant has.
Personnel selection stages
Assessment of the personal qualities of a candidate begins immediately, even at the first meeting with him. During the preliminary conversation, his appearance is also assessed. Already at this stage, about 60% of applicants do not pass the test. After completing the questionnaire, managers conduct interviews, as a rule, on previously prepared questions. The uniformity of the questions asked to each candidate makes it possible to assess their personal qualities with a high degree of objectivity and compare them with each other.
When recruiting personnel, special tests can also be used to assess not only the professional qualifications of the applicant, but his potential and personal qualities. In some cases, your recommendations may be checked and you will be asked to provide a medical examination confirming your physical and mental health. The final decision, as a rule, rests with the head of the organization.
What personal qualities are needed to successfully pass an interview
Of course, the set of those personal qualities that a candidate should possess largely depends on the specifics of the job for which he is applying. So, for a construction specialist, the ability to fluently and speak a lot is not required at all - he needs a specific job, but a sales assistant without such skills will not be able to work. Therefore, in each specific case, those of your personal qualities that correspond to the maximum extent to the position for which you are applying will be in demand. In some cases, even your moral values are correlated with the requirements of a particular company.
But during the interview and testing, you will be tested how quickly you can think and react to a changing situation, whether you are able to make decisions on your own in a difficult situation and how quickly you do it. In any case, when you answer the questions posed, you will be tested for your ability to think logically and even outside the box. In some cases, by the way, the ability to make non-standard decisions can be a negative factor, this applies to regime and militarized industries, those where strict adherence to technology is required.
In general, your life activity, your ability to learn and perceive new things, self-confidence and your professional experience, patience and flexibility, and the ability to communicate with colleagues will be assessed. But, in whatever organization you are interviewed, everywhere they will negatively react to such your personal qualities as: indifference to future work activities, maximalism, passivity and lack of interest, excessive excitability and nervousness, lack of a sense of humor and tact, a frivolous attitude to interview.
