Step 1

The paperwork for hiring should be handled by an employee whose authority it includes in accordance with job descriptions. In accordance with article 65 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, a new employee applying for a job must present:

- identity document;

- work book, if any;

- insurance pension certificate, if any;

- military ID, for those who are liable for military service;

- educational document and other documents confirming professional qualifications.

The work book and insurance pension certificate in the case when a person gets a job for the first time, is drawn up by an employee of the personnel department of the enterprise, as well as a medical insurance policy.

Step 2

The specifics of work at some enterprises allow for the need to present any other additional documents. These cases are stipulated in the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, regulations, decrees of the President and decrees of the Government. Personnel officers do not have the right to demand other documents not stipulated by laws. The same applies to the requirement to have permanent registration at the location of the enterprise. But the employer has the right to demand a certificate of the established form on the state of health. For professions related to food and consumer services for the population, it is also mandatory to have a sanitary and medical book. If a disabled person is hired, a recommendation certificate from VTEK may be required, and in the case when the work of a new employee is related to a commercial or state secret, a receipt and other documents confirming his admission may be required from him.

Step 3

The main document governing the labor relationship between the employee and the employer is the employment contract. It is concluded and signed in duplicate. This document must be drawn up within three days after the employee began his career at the enterprise. Job responsibilities can be listed in the employment contract, but it is better to draw up them in a separate document and familiarize the employee with them under signature. After signing the employment contract, it is necessary to issue a corresponding order for employment, unless a probationary period is provided for by the agreement of the parties.
