Each owner of his own house or summer cottage sooner or later thinks about building a bath. A bathhouse for a Russian person is a place where you can spend time with friends and relax. And of course, the first question in its construction is the stove. Not only the atmosphere in the bathhouse depends on the choice of the stove, but also the comfort and convenience, and in the end result - the mood of the owner and guests.
Instructions
Step 1
The choice of a stove must begin with deciding what kind of bath you want to have: a Russian steam room or a sauna. The difference in humidity in the room. Saunas are heated with drier steam, Russian steam rooms are wet. First of all, measure the bath room and the entrance opening. This is necessary in order to easily dismantle the stove in case of breakdown.
Step 2
When making a furnace, select the correct heat-resistant metal for its body. The presence of a high percentage of chromium (from 13%) will provide a lightweight housing design with maximum heating of the room.
Step 3
Choose the design with the largest volume of the heater - the place where the stones will be stacked to create the “right” steam. Its volume is determined from the calculation of the mass of stones required to warm up this room, 2.5-6 kg per 1 m3.
Step 4
Choose a shallow firebox if you like to chop wood before the sauna. Conversely, a deep firebox eliminates the need for fine sawing of wood material. A larger volume of the furnace will also increase the heat output of the stove.
Step 5
Choose a cast iron construction for the grate. The grate is used to supply air to the furnace, it is on it that burning coals accumulate, the temperature of which not every metal can withstand.
Step 6
For the installation of an ash pan, a place where ash accumulates, choose a drawer design. This will allow you to quickly and easily clean the ash from the oven.
Step 7
Determine the design of your stove by the general interior design of the bath. Rectangular ovens are cheaper for owners than their round or curved counterparts.
