A large number of immigrants from the Soviet Union live in Israel, and the migration of Russian citizens there continues to this day. But in order to get a comfortable job in a foreign country, you need to know how you can find work there.
Instructions
Step 1
Create a resume listing your professional accomplishments. Translate it into English and, if possible, into Hebrew.
Step 2
Think about whether you have sufficient knowledge of foreign languages to work in Israel. For some positions, for example, in the scientific field, knowledge of the English language will be sufficient. At the same time, for many professions that require communication with people, you will need knowledge of Hebrew. Expect it to be time consuming and likely to involve a significant investment in language courses or tutoring.
Step 3
Find an employer who is willing to consider your candidacy remotely. You can directly contact the organization you are interested in. This, for example, should be done by scientists and teachers to find work in universities or laboratories. In other cases, you can glean information from specialized Internet sites. They exist not only in Hebrew, but also in Russian. Send a resume and a cover letter from the company you are interested in, in which you explain reasonably why you are looking for a job in Israel and consider yourself the most suitable candidate for the declared position.
Step 4
If you obtain consent from an Israeli company, attend an interview. To do this, you do not even need a visa - you can freely enter as a tourist without the right to work and stay in Israel for up to ninety days. If everything suits you and the employer, sign an employment contract.
Step 5
Get a work visa to enter the country. To do this, you will need to obtain a police clearance certificate, as well as undergo a detailed medical examination with tests for the AIDS virus and hepatitis. The visa will be issued for a limited period, but later you can renew it if you keep the received work.
