Necessary

  • - application for recognition of a refugee;
  • - questionnaire of the person who applied for the application;
  • - questionnaire;
  • - the passport;
  • - fingerprint card;
  • - photos.

Instructions

Step 1

Refugee status has a number of advantages over other statuses of foreign citizens on the territory of the Russian Federation. It is issued for three years and provides employment opportunities without obtaining additional permits and patents. Refugees are persons who have fears of becoming a victim of persecution on the basis of race, religion, citizenship, nationality and cannot enjoy the protection of this country or, without citizenship and being outside the country, cannot return to it.

Step 2

The first step in obtaining refugee status is to apply to the authorized body with a corresponding application. This can be done by persons over 18 years of age. Minors submit an application only through their legal representatives.

Step 3

If a citizen has not yet entered the territory of the Russian Federation, then he can submit an application through the diplomatic consulate or representative office in his country, or through the border control bodies of the FSB. In case of forced illegal border crossing, it is necessary to report this to the FSB, the Ministry of Internal Affairs or the FMS. When staying legally, you need to contact the territorial body of the FMS. It is worth taking with you a migration card with a completed field for refugees.

Step 4

When applying with an application, it is advisable to present other documents in addition to a passport. For example, a certificate of marriage, birth of children, etc.

Step 5

The petition is drawn up from the words of the applicant by an employee of the authorized body in Russian by hand or on a computer. It is then signed by the applicant. If necessary, a translator is involved.

Step 6

When submitting an application, a questionnaire for a citizen is also filled out. The interview is conducted by an authorized employee. The questionnaire contains the circumstances that led to the application for refugee status, as well as biographical information. Each applicant is photographed and also undergoes mandatory fingerprinting (fingerprinting).

Step 7

The application will be considered within 1 to 3 months. For this period, the citizen is issued a certificate confirming his identity and the legality of his stay on the territory of the Russian Federation. Now there is an order to consider the appeal of the Ukrainians as soon as possible.

Step 8

If necessary, a potential refugee should be sent to a temporary accommodation center. After receiving the certificate, the applicant and his family members must undergo a medical examination, as well as register at the place of stay.

Step 9

After consideration of the application, the citizen is provided with a notice of the decision. If the outcome is positive, he receives a refugee certificate. It should be borne in mind that the national refugee passport is withdrawn and kept by the FMS until the end of the refugee's term.
