Step 1
Free privatization of apartments in our country has been going on for 20 years. Until March 1, 2013, privatization is the free transfer of an apartment to a citizen, which he occupies under a social rental agreement. After that, it will be possible to register the living space in ownership for money, having bought it from the state.
Step 2
For initial consultation on privatization issues, you need to contact the privatization department of the district government. If you are registered in the apartment alone, then your worries are facilitated: you do not need to obtain the consent of other tenants and collect documents for them. If you live in a solid house and pay your rent regularly, this will also be a plus in your direction. By law, you cannot privatize living space in a dilapidated building. Questions also arise to persistent defaulters.
Then you need to collect all the necessary documents. Their list is approved:
- copy of the passport
- certificate of passport replacement in the period from September 1991 to the present
- certificate of non-participation in privatization
- if you have changed housing since 1991, you need to take an extract from house books from all places of residence
- documents for the apartment (originals and copies): warrant, social contract, residential passport
- in the BTI you need to get an explication and a floor plan, as well as a certificate of legalized redevelopment, if it was
- in house management - an extract from the financial and personal account
Step 3
You may be asked to provide additional documents. For the initial privatization, all securities are issued free of charge. If you are faced with any difficulties or you simply do not have time to run through the instances, contact the intermediaries. They will help you collect documents for 500-2000 rubles.
Step 4
All collected certificates, originals and copies must be taken to the privatization department of the district government. After registering the documents, you will receive a Certificate of Title.
Step 5
According to statistics, a citizen spends 2-4 months on the trouble of privatizing an apartment. The middlemen can do it in a couple of weeks. And one more important point: the apartment becomes the property for free, but the state fee must be paid (about 500 rubles).
