Every citizen of the Russian Federation is obliged to obtain a passport upon reaching the age of 14. The exception is Russians who permanently live abroad and do not have registration at the place of residence in Russia: their identity is certified by a foreign passport. The procedure for obtaining a passport is simple and requires a minimum set of documents.
Necessary
- - birth certificate;
- - two color or black-and-white photographs 35 x 45 mm on a white background;
- - 200 p. to pay the state duty;
- - a document confirming the citizenship of the Russian Federation.
Instructions
Step 1
To obtain a passport, you only need a birth certificate and a document confirming Russian citizenship. Usually the function of the second is also performed by a birth certificate, on the back of which the corresponding seal is affixed. If you have these documents, you can safely continue to prepare for such an important procedure. If they are lost, you will have to restore them first.
Step 2
Take a photo. A passport photo can be easily taken in any photo studio or booth. Usually, the output is more than the required two. It is better to clarify in the passport office of the housing office (EIRTs, DEZ, etc. - in different places these organizations may now have different names) how best to proceed: bring them two photographs, or they (or the FMS employees) will cut off the required amount themselves.
Step 3
Pay the state duty at the nearest branch of Sberbank. It is 200 rubles. You can find out the details at the passport office, the district FMS branch or directly at the bank branch. Usually they are in the public domain, it is also possible (except for Sberbank) that you will be given a ready-made receipt, which will remain to be taken to the bank.
Step 4
Take the entire set of documents with photographs and a receipt at the office hours to the passport office of the housing office and give it to the passport officer. An application for issuing a passport is also filled out there.
Then, at the time appointed by her, come for a ready-made passport.
