Introducing yourself is difficult. Here you need to take into account many factors: the mood and composition of the audience, the specifics of the event, your own abilities, the goals that you pursue, and so on. The task becomes much more difficult if you want to present your organization and yourself as its leader.
Instructions
Step 1
First, decide where exactly you will need to perform. You cannot start preparation from a floundering bay, not having understood for yourself where and why you are going, but immediately starting to compose a text or presentation. Will it be a seminar, symposium, summit, celebration, forum? From here you will need to proceed. Ask the host organization for a list of requirements that apply to your presentation: what exactly needs to be conveyed to the public, what features to disclose, what is the time limit. Prepare for the audience to ask you questions, so map out the questionable passages ahead of time.
Step 2
When the preliminary stage has already been agreed, proceed to the selection of the participants for the presentation. If you are the head of the organization, then this stage is entirely in your hands. If you are a subordinate, and the head only gave you the task of recruiting people, then you will have to obey certain attitudes. But in either case, do not let personal sympathy close your eyes. The fact that a person works well is not a guarantee that he will perform successfully, he will be confident on stage, in front of the audience, that he will not be lost at the right moment. You need to exhibit initiative and self-confidence, and chronically timid ones should be given work of a different order, but also related to the project, so that they do not feel unnecessary.
Step 3
Now proceed with the self-presentation text itself. Focus on the format set by the rules of the event or chosen by you yourself. Anything can be here: a presentation with beautifully and originally designed slides, dry but indicative, rigorous, meeting the spirit of the scheme, photos of the place where your organization is based - everything in the world, right down to dramatization and dance performances. However, when choosing a presentation format, be sure to take into account the requirements of the event, otherwise you risk being left out in the cold.
Step 4
Organize your self-presentation text in such a way as to reflect the good features of your organization to the fullest. Good traits, achievements, successes, of course, should be highlighted, but so that your words do not sound boastful. Nobody likes braggers, even if they talk about their real achievements. Be humble. Also try to place your brightest lines in the positions where they are best perceived: in the heading, at the beginning and at the end.
Step 5
Be extremely careful with humor. If you joke unsuccessfully, then substitute not only yourself, but also the team as a whole. If you're unsure of your sense of humor, it's best not to make anyone laugh. Leave jokes to those who have no problem with this (most likely, your team has such people). If you completely leave the speech without humor (however, it is not always appropriate - pay attention to this too), then you will lose much less if you shock the audience and your colleagues with an inappropriate joke.
