How not to lose your driver's license

The list of violations for which a driver can be revoked is quite extensive. The license is withdrawn not only for drunk driving or crossing a double continuous marking in the opposite lane and driving in the opposite direction. But for some violations, an alternative to deprivation is a fine, and for serious violations, rights are withdrawn in any case.

The terms of deprivation of rights, depending on the seriousness of the violation, range from one month to two years. However, there are cases when the driver has violated several points of the traffic rules, and in such a situation the terms can be summed up.

Why can they be deprived of a driver's license?

• Driving a car with no license plates. As well as driving a car on which devices are installed that make it difficult to identify numbers. The terms of imprisonment are from one to three months or a fine.

• Exceeding the established speed by more than 60 kilometers per hour. Timeframes from four to six months. For repeated exceeding the established speed by 60 or more kilometers per hour, the license can be withdrawn for a year or fined.

• Crossing railway tracks outside the level crossing. And also exit to the crossing with a closed or closing barrier and with a prohibiting traffic light. These violations are punishable by deprivation of a driver's license for three to six months or a fine.

• It is prohibited to transport bulky goods if their dimensions exceed the parameters specified in the special permit by more than ten centimeters. Deprivation of rights for two to four months or a fine.

• Refusal from medical examination. Deprivation of rights for one and a half to two years without the opportunity to get off with only a fine.

• If the driver (participant in the accident) left the scene of the accident, then the license can be withdrawn for a year and a half, the penalty is not provided.

• Movement in the opposite direction of tram tracks. Violation is punishable by withdrawal of rights for four to six months or a fine. To prevent this, tram tracks should be crossed at an angle of 90 degrees.

• Violation of traffic rules, causing harm to the health of the victim. Deprivation of rights for a year and a half or a fine.

Maximum period of deprivation of rights

For repeated driving while intoxicated, the driver may lose his license for three years. And the primary violation threatens with a maximum period of withdrawal of the driver's license for a period of one and a half to two years. There is no penalty as an alternative punishment for such violations.

In theory, the maximum period is not limited to three years. And if the driver is a persistent traffic offender, then he can remain without a driver's license even for ten years. There is no statute of limitations for the withdrawal of rights. Therefore, the driver who violated the traffic rules is in any case responsible.
