The desire to return the hairdryer to the store at the first breakdown is quite natural, especially if this product was purchased very recently and for a decent amount of money. In this case, the law protects consumer rights under certain conditions.
Necessary
- - hairdryer;
- - check;
- - written statement;
- - warranty card.
Instructions
Step 1
You can return the hairdryer to the store and get money for it or change it to another model only if you find that the equipment does not correspond to the quality declared in the documents, and the warranty period of the product has not yet come to an end. In all other situations, the store is not obliged to take the goods back, since the hair dryer is an electrical household appliance included in the list of good quality goods that cannot be exchanged or returned. Therefore, you will not be able to return a hairdryer just because it did not match your color or size.
Step 2
If you find that your new hair dryer has stopped working, blowing hot or cold air, or any other such thing, look for your purchase receipt and warranty card. Make a statement-claim in duplicate and go with your passport, equipment and these documents to the store where you purchased this product.
Step 3
Hand one copy of the claim to the seller or store administrator, and on the second ask him to sign on receipt of this claim. According to paragraph 1 of Article 18 of the Law "On Protection of Consumer Rights", you have the right to present the following requirements: free repair of a broken item, exchange it for another product, refund or a commensurate reduction in its original cost. And if due to a poor-quality product you incurred any losses, demand their compensation as well.
Step 4
By law, the store is obliged to satisfy your claims within 10 days from the date of the claim. Or he can conduct an examination that will confirm or, conversely, refute the fact of inadequate quality of the goods. The term will then be reported from the date of receipt of the conclusion. You also have the right to conduct an independent examination, the money for which will be paid by the one who is to blame for the breakdown of the device. For each overdue day, the store will have to pay you a penalty in the amount of 1% of the amount of the goods.
