Have you decided to change your place of residence? Your new address must be recorded in your documents. Earlier it was called "registration", now - "registration at the place of residence." However, whatever you call it, the absence of a stamp with a home address in your passport will cause you a lot of trouble. At a minimum, you will have to pay fines ranging from 1,500 to 2,500 rubles.
Instructions
Step 1
Please note: if you intend to register (register) in an apartment or house owned by several people, each of them, even the temporarily absent owner, must give his written consent to your registration. Even if you have acquired a part of this residential property, you will not be able to register a residence permit without the consent of the co-owner / co-owners. So if you do not want to end up in the position of a bum, make sure that you do not have any problems registering at a new address, before you check out from the old one.
Step 2
Check out your old residence. Make sure that your passport is stamped with the appropriate stamp and you will receive an address sheet of departure.
Step 3
Within 7 days from the date of arrival, contact the FMS department (passport officers) at your new place of residence. Take with you your passport or other document proving your identity, address sheet of departure and documents on the basis of which you intend to move in: certificate of ownership of this housing, statement of the owner / owners of housing on consent to grant you the right to live in this territory, court order on the recognition of the right to use residential premises, etc.
Step 4
Write and sign your residence registration application and statistics sheet. You can download the forms of these documents and samples of their filling out for free from the single portal of state and municipal services of Russia https://www.gosuslugi.ru/ru/card/index.php?coid_4=65&ccoid_4=74&poid_4=191&soid_4=641&toid_4=532&info_4=0&rid = 228
Step 5
Wait a few days for the passport officers to transfer your documents to the registration authorities, where they will put an appropriate stamp in your passport or, if you provided not a passport, but another document, they will issue a registration certificate in the prescribed form.
Step 6
Come on the appointed day to the FMS department (to the passport officers) and take back your passport with a registration stamp or a registration certificate at your new place of residence.
