You may also need a certificate from the tax office stating that you are not registered as a private entrepreneur. After registering with an employment center, you will receive unemployment benefits. Its amount depends on the earnings in the last job. Unemployment benefit is paid prior to a person's employment. The total period for which the benefit can be paid is 360 days within two years. People near retirement age may receive benefits for 720 days.

Step 5

On a monthly basis, on the set dates, you should visit the employment center for information on suitable work. For such visits, you will need a passport and work book. Violation of this condition may result in the person being deregistered as unemployed.
