Anyone who wants to go to another country in 2018 must make sure that their documents were drawn up in a certain way. One of the important points is special photographs for documents. The rules for their creation and requirements in the states may be different, but it is especially worth noting a photo for a visa.
General rules
Regardless of the choice of the country to which a person is going to travel, there are several general rules for photographing:
- The Embassy can be provided with photographs taken a maximum of six months ago.
- The photographs for the visa must be clear and neat, without any folds, damage or stains.
- When taking a picture, a person must look strictly at the camera and keep his head as straight as possible. The facial expression should be calm, without a smile, and the mouth should be closed.
- As for the glasses, it is best to take them off.
- It is preferable to be photographed in dark clothes.
The vast majority of countries require photographs to be in color. Sometimes black and white photographs are allowed, but it is still better to take a color photograph.
Requirements for photographs for a visa
In order to visit any of the countries that are part of the Schengen area, you must prepare standard photographs that would meet the following requirements:
- The size of a photo for a Schengen visa is 3, 5 by 4, 5 centimeters.
- The photograph must be taken in such a way that the face is about 32 millimeters from all edges.
- The image should be made only in color and with brightness correction. Too light or too dark photographs on a visa, many embassies may simply not accept.
- The background in the photo should be light (it can be a blue or pale gray background). At the same time, many embassies simply do not accept white shades.
- No need to add frames, corners or other details to the photo.
- The photo must be without hats, caps and any other accessories, except when the person is wearing a headdress because of their religious beliefs.
- In the picture for a visa, the face must be perfectly visible, the head must be open and visible. For this reason, shots with long hair and bangs are not allowed. Therefore, before taking a photo, you need to carefully choose a comfortable hairstyle.
- It is possible to be photographed for a visa with glasses, but only in those cases when glasses must be worn for medical reasons. But in this case, you should choose glasses with a thin frame. Wearing and shooting with colored glasses is not allowed.
Even taking into account the fact that all Schengen states have the same rules, one should not forget about the individual orders that any country may have. And all these features should be taken into account before paperwork.
As for the glasses, it is recommended to take them off before photographing. They can only be used if there is evidence of the need to wear them.
