Instructions
Step 1
In order to simplify the procedure for obtaining a patent, seek the assistance of a patent attorney. To do this, fill out and submit an application to a patent attorney, indicating all the necessary details and a description of the patented subject (description of the invention, including a drawing and an abstract, translation of the description into Ukrainian, your full data, a document confirming the payment of the application fee).
Fill out the application on a special form of the State Enterprise "Ukrpatent". After the regional registration of the application, submit to the patent attorney the estimate, the contract and other available materials confirming the patentability of the technical solution. Pay the patent attorney in advance, if it is stipulated by the contract.
Step 2
Please note that further all patent registration procedures take place through a patent attorney. Wait for the decision of the examination of the patent office. File an appeal against the decision of the examination, if you disagree with it.
Step 3
After the state registration of the patent by Ukrapatent, information about the patented subject is published in the Bulletin "Industrial Property". Get a 20-year Ukrainian patent from your patent attorney. After this period, you must go through the procedures of re-registration and reconciliation and obtain a patent again. Depending on which object is subject to patenting, the term of the patent can be up to 25 years.
