The subject and the object of activity are two sides of the same process. The subject is the one who performs the action, the object is what the activity is aimed at. However, this is only one of the differences between these concepts.
"Subject" and "Object" as categories
The terms "Subject" and "Object" must be considered separately, in relation to each case, or, if we take theoretical sciences - for each science. So, for example, the "subject" in linguistics will differ from the "subject" in philosophy. Encyclopedic Dictionary edited by A. A. Ivina defines "subject" in five different ways. However, in ordinary life, by the term "subject" we mean a certain person (being) performing certain actions. In turn, the "object" is understood as something to which the activity of the subject is directed. So, for example, the object of civil law will be material and non-material rights, about which civil legal relations arise. Moreover, the subject can be either an individual (one person, an individual) or a collective (a group of persons, a legal entity - an organization). The object, in turn, must be in the realm of reality and be expressed in certain categories that designate its features.
Activity is the process of interaction of a subject with an object, during which a goal is achieved or a need is satisfied. Thus, the subject is on one side of the process, and the object is on the other side. Interaction can be real (physical) and speculative (not physical).
Signs of a subject and an object, distinguishing them
If we define the subject of activity as something that can perform actions, and the object, as something to which these actions are directed, it is necessary to clarify the signs that distinguish them.
So the subject of activity is endowed with the ability to act, to make an independent decision. The object only obeys these decisions, changing or remaining unchanged.
The second difference is the degree of participation in the process. The subject of the action is active, while the object of the action is most often passive.
Since we are talking about a subject of activity, it is most often an animated person, endowed with will and reason. Moreover, this applies to both a living being (a person) and a product of society (an organization). The object, as a rule, is inanimate (material and intangible goods).
Subject and object of entrepreneurial activity
If we consider such a specific category as entrepreneurial activity, then the following should be noted here:
A business entity is a civil law entity that, at its own risk, carries out independent activities aimed at systematic profit from the use of property, the sale of goods, the performance of work or the provision of services, and who is registered in this capacity in the manner prescribed by law.
The object of entrepreneurial activity is tangible and intangible benefits for which entrepreneurial activity is carried out.
