There are more than a dozen "types" of managers - from office manager to purchasing manager. Consider an example of writing a resume for a middle manager without touching on a particular specialization. The main requirement for candidates for the position of a middle manager is experience in people management. That is, a middle manager is the leader of a small group of people. But this is ideally, often this or that employee can be called a manager without having such experience.

Step 2

The first rule of a good resume for a managerial position is a well-defined job title. It is impossible to simply write "manager", it will look as if the candidate himself does not know who he wants to work, or as if he does not care. It is unlikely that this will make a favorable impression on the employer.

Even if the candidate's education is absolutely non-core (chemist, philologist, etc.), nevertheless, it must be indicated in the resume. It is important that the candidate has a higher education, which means that he consciously followed the path of professional and personal development, strived for success. A big plus will be the presence of a second specialized education (even courses), or even more so an MBA.

Step 4

A key section of any resume is work experience. It must be indicated either from the very beginning or for the last 10 years. The resume should show how the candidate grew in the company. It will be best if the candidate grows in several positions in the same company (assistant - manager - senior manager). If there is no such long-term experience of work in one company, it is still necessary to demonstrate growth - already in several companies. It is better to change 5 companies in 5 years, but show growth, than to work the same 5 years in the same company in the same position.

Step 5

If a candidate does not have leadership experience, but is applying for a managerial position, he will have to justify his career ambitions. The easiest way to do this is during the interview. In the resume, you need to highlight your achievements in a special column (however, such a column should be done in any resume) and describe your personal qualities, which will show the candidate as a purposeful and ambitious person.

In the "salary expectations" section, it is better to indicate the lower salary level (from 50,000 rubles), rather than a clear amount (45,000 rubles). For high-level managers, it makes sense not to indicate the desired income level at all - this will already be discussed at the interview and will depend on how the candidate will be able to "sell" himself.
